Yep!  I missed it earlier.  It's right inside the front cover of the
service manual.  Here's the table, rounded to the nearest MHz:

K  North America
P  Canada (as if it weren't in North America)
   Tx 144-148 438-450
   Rx 118-174 410-470

M  "Other countries"
   Tx & Rx 144-148 430-440

M2,M3  "Other countries"
M4     China
   Tx 136-174 410-470
   Rx 118-174 410-470

E,E3,E9 Europe

The only difference between the K and P models seems to be that they
include different warranty cards: B46-0410-30(K) vs. B46-0422-00(P).

I'm trying to decide which mobile dualbander to buy. Two that
I'm considering are the ICOM IC-2700H and IC-2340H.

I'd like to hear people's comments - what you like, what you
don't like, usability, audio quality on xmt and recv,
intermod performance, etc.

In addition I have a few questions:

1) The ads say the 2340 has cross-band repeat. Does the 2700?

2) The 2700 does dual in-band receive. Does the 2340?

3) Do either of these have a data jack? Does it do 9600bps?

4) Are they remote-controllable using DTMF from an HT?

5) The ads for the 2340 mention a voice synthesizer. Is
that also available for the 2700?

6) I assume these do not have build-in antenna duplexers,
correct?

I've been looking a long time, and never found one.  This topic comes
up on various echoes from time to time, and no one has produces a source.

I put an in-line connector in all my 12-volt radio cords so cords and
power supplies are easily swappable.  That makes a couple expensive
ICOM cords do the work of many.

Subject: PrivatePatchV - CSI

Has anyone had experience with CSI Private Patch V?  The literature is vague
about internal connection of the unit to a radio.  Specifically, I would like
to use it with a Kenwood TM742-A.  It is necessary to make a connection to the
discriminators of the radio/possibly each module itself in the case of the 742.

I've ordered from the one in Texas and have no complaints.  The radio I was
looking to buy is regurarly $229, when it went on sale in the local RS for
$149 I called US Radio and their sale price was $135 and they don't charge
for sales tax or shipping.  I ordered it and had it in a few days.

I've noticed that also.  It's very annoying.  I always end up turning off
the secondary band when listening.

Other minor nits:

CTCSS decode only works on the primary band, the secondary band has no
CTCSS decoder even if the channel is programmed for CTCSS decode.

Also, the "balance" control to vary the volume between UHF and VHF is
useless.  If you turn it far enough to make the difference in volume
noticeable then one of them is too loud and the other too low to hear.  I
eventually figured out it's best to leave it in the middle and never move
it.

But those are still minor complaints, I like the radio a lot.
